MS in Experimental Psychology provides enhanced training in psychology-based statistics and research methods, which are necessary skills for Ph.D. programs and are in demand by potential employers. The program also provides the base in core fields of psychology along with the freedom of elective classes to allow students to pursue their own interests in the field. All students, whether online or on campus, will receive that specialized attention expected with an on campus program and often missing from traditional online classes.

As a graduate student at the University of West Alabama I had the privilege of working as a graduate assistant for the department of psychology under the advisement of Dr. Mark Davis. As a graduate assistant I had the chance to participate in hands-on research and data analysis. This experience heightened my desire to learn as much about psychology as I could. Dr. Davis sparked an interest for psychology in me that led to me completing my master’s in counseling psychology. Dr. Robert Ware, along with Dr. Kelly Pivik and Dr. Joy Cauthron were all great professors who instilled the knowledge of Psychology that lives in me today. The experience I had as a graduate student at the University of West Alabama better prepared me for the career path I have chosen and I would highly recommend the University of West Alabama to anyone who plans on continuing their education in the field of psychology.
